Shortsleeve:  Where’s the leadership?

BOSTON, MA – Today, Marine Corps Veteran, successful business leader, and proven government reformer Brian Shortsleeve, Republican candidate for governor reacted to Governor Maura Healey’s failure to put people ahead of politics on funding SNAP benefits.

“Where’s the leadership?  Healey is more interested in grabbing a headline rather than putting aside partisan politics to feed people.  There is no reason why the state cannot help,” said Shortsleeve.  “Our state would have no problem finding the money to provide bridge funding for SNAP benefits for needy Massachusetts’ families, if Healey had not wasted billions of dollars on migrant housing and benefits.  It’s all about priorities, and Maura Healey’s are backwards.”
