“Massachusetts has some of the highest energy bills in the nation because Maura Healey has relentlessly opposed affordable energy sources, especially natural gas, in favor of expensive mandates and fees tacked onto your electric bill. She could provide immediate relief with a stroke of the pen, but instead offers window dressing that does nothing to address the root causes driving high costs,” said Shortsleeve. “As governor, I would wipe away expensive state-mandated fees from electric bills to offer ratepayers immediate and significant relief while pursuing a real all-of-the-above energy strategy that gives Bay Staters access to affordable, reliable energy.”
