Brian Shortsleeve for Massachusetts BOSTON, MA – Mike Minogue admitted what has become increasingly clear about his campaign for governor: he has no plan.
Asked by the Boston Herald about public safety, Minogue said, “The moment this election is over, I’m going to have a plan.”
Brian Shortsleeve responded:
“Mike Minogue is running for governor because he wants to be someone. I’m running for governor because I want to do something.
“I’ve put forward real plans to cut taxes, lower energy costs, make Massachusetts more competitive, and grow our economy. I’ve released detailed plans for communities and regions across the Commonwealth and have been unafraid to answer tough questions because voters deserve to know exactly what I will do as governor. You may not agree with me on everything, but at least you know where I stand.
“Mike Minogue is asking Republicans to nominate him first and find out what he believes later. He has no plan, no clear agenda, and no vision for Massachusetts, which is why he refuses to debate me.
“Republicans need to nominate a candidate with the ideas, experience, and vision to give people hope that Massachusetts can turn things around. We cannot nominate Mike Minogue to satisfy his ego only to watch him get beaten badly by Maura Healey in November.”
