SHORTSLEEVE CAMPAIGN: POLL SHOWS WHY MINOGUE IS SCARED TO DEBATE

BOSTON, MA – Today, the Brian Shortsleeve for Governor campaign released the following statement reacting to yesterday’s Globe/Suffolk poll:

“Mike Minogue has spent millions of dollars on his campaign, more than any primary candidate in Massachusetts history at this stage of the race. Yet 53 percent of Republican primary voters either support Brian Shortsleeve or remain undecided.”

“Even worse for Minogue, his support has fallen from 70 percent at the Republican convention to just 45 percent among Republican primary voters. The more voters learn about Mike Minogue, the less they support him. That’s why he’s scared to debate. He knows that once voters see Brian Shortsleeve and Mike Minogue side by side, his numbers will fall even further.

“Brian has just made a major investment in his campaign, and these numbers will continue to move in his direction as Massachusetts families hear Brian’s plans to lower costs, grow the economy, and reform state government. The contrast will become impossible to ignore.”
