BOSTON, MA – Today, Marine, businessman, and turnaround specialist Brian Shortsleeve launched a new radio ad calling on Mike Minogue to participate in a debate. The ad will air on the Howie Carr Network.
The advertisement comes after Howie Carr publicly called on Mike Minogue and Brian Shortsleeve to debate on his program.
In the radio ad, Shortsleeve states, “Republicans vote on September 1st and they deserve to hear from both of us. Come on, Mike, stop ducking. The stakes are too high.”
Shortsleeve campaign spokesperson Pat Nestor commented, “Debates serve a vital purpose in primaries – to showcase ideas and solutions for how to make people’s lives better and to demonstrate who is the best candidate to represent our party in the general election. And that’s exactly why Mike Minogue has spent the entire campaign doing everything in his power to avoid them. He doesn’t want voters to see that Brian Shortsleeve is the best candidate to take on Maura Healey and win in November.”
