Shortsleeve Reacts to Healey’s Parole Board Releasing Man Convicted of Killing, Throwing 18-Month Old in Dumpster

Mar 14, 2026

BOSTON, MA — After the Massachusetts Parole Board approved the release of a man convicted of murdering an 18-month-old boy and discarding his body in a dumpster, Republican candidate for governor Brian Shortsleeve issued the following statement:

“There is a sickness that has infected Maura Healey’s Parole Board. I do not know another explanation. Scores of murder convicts have been let loose, but this one is the most egregious I have yet to learn of. An 18-month-old child was beaten to death and thrown in a dumpster, and now Healey’s appointees say the killer should walk free. This is a total indictment of her parole board members and their dangerous ideology.

“What is wrong with these people, and when will Maura Healey take action?”
