SHORTSLEEVE: Where’s Healey?

BOSTON, MA – Today Marine Corps Veteran, successful business leader, and proven
government reformer Brian Shortsleeve, Republican candidate for governor, called upon
Governor Maura Healey to stand with the Nantucket Select Board in their demands for
answers from Vineyard Wind.

“The Select Board’s requests are very reasonable. They should be notified immediately
of all emergencies and there should be an emergency response plan. This board is
standing up for all of Massachusetts, because this is not just a Nantucket issue.
Where’s Healey? Our governor should also be demanding the answers and requiring
them to cover potential clean up costs,” said Shortsleeve. “Will Healey put what is the
best interest of Nantucket and Massachusetts first by supporting the board?”

The Boston Herald reported last July that Healey took 38 donations from Avangrid
employees totaling $16,425. Despite last year’s catastrophic wind turbine failure,
Healey has continued to accept their donations increasing her total to $26,175
according to the Office of Campaign and Political Finance records.

“As the next governor, I will stand up for what is in the best interests of our state – not a
radical political agenda,” added Shortsleeve.
